Upon successful completion of this course
Drivers will obtain their Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) card, which is also referred to as a 'driver qualification card.' This card remains valid for a period of 5 years and is a mandatory requirement for all professional lorry, bus, and coach drivers. Failing to possess a valid qualification card can lead to penalties, which include a fine of up to £1000, even if the card is expired.
Our Driver CPC course encompasses 35 hours of rigorous periodic training, carefully divided into 4 essential parts:
Theory Test
This segment entails both multiple-choice tests and hazard perception tests designed to gauge drivers' understanding of theoretical knowledge and their capability to identify potential risks on the road.
Case Studies
Here, learners will apply their theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios presented in the form of case studies, ultimately demonstrating their proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making.
Practical Driving Test
This hands-on driving ability assessment will require drivers to display their skills behind the wheel, ensuring the highest level of competence and safety while on the road.
Driver CPC Practical Test (Vehicle Safety Demonstration)
This segment entails both multiple-choice tests and hazard perception tests designed to gauge drivers' understanding of theoretical knowledge and their capability to identify potential risks on the road.
Both drivers and their employers
Share the responsibility of maintaining Driver CPC compliance. While drivers are responsible for meeting all periodic training requirements and covering associated costs, employers play a crucial role in upholding current legislative standards and ensuring their drivers maintain compliance. Consequently, non-compliance with these standards may result in severe consequences for both the driver and the employer.
